Archeologists tell us that religion has been around since the beginning of time. Why? Why does it exist at all? It is the single most divisive influence in the world today. It has been the catalyst for some of the most heinous atrocities in history. It is the driving force behind the war in the Middle East. In fact, today, "in the name of Allah", is the battle cry of terrorist who would destroy the world for their God. Is that who God is, an advocate of violence? Or have we totally misinterpreted the message? Over the thousands of years of religious history, have we been led astray by misinterpretations, political agendas and charismatic leaders who claim to know the will of God? About the Author

Chris Meyer was raised in a Baptist environment. His parents were committed and devoted to the cause of Christianity. For over 40 years, Chris participated in religious activities, leading Bible studies for youth and adults. However, there were questions about Christian theology that couldn't be answered. So, he embarked on a 15 year journey to try to find answers to religions most pressing questions. The journey led from Christianity to Judaism, to Hinduism and finally to Islam. It has been an arduous journey that has resulted in a greater understanding of religion, God and life.
