Meet the Author

Jane Bradley’s short story collection, Power Lines, was listed as a “Notable Book” by The New York Times Book Review. Her stories and essays have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. Her novella, Living Doll, has been used in numerous educational and mental health programs dealing with adolescent dysfunction. She is also the author of a screenwriting textbook, Screenwriting 101: Small Steps While Thinking Big. She has received National Endowment for the Arts and Ohio Arts Council Individual Artists Fellowships. Her screenplay, Blood Sisters, was a finalist in the Diane Thomas Screenwriting Competition, sponsored by ULCA and Dreamworks, Inc., and she has won awards for her stage plays. Originally from the hills of Tennessee, she is currently a professor of creative writing at the University of Toledo where she is still trying to make sense of all the pavement and parking lots around her.
