As part of an elite Special Forces team, the former Green Beret has encountered things that are well beyond human understanding. Now, two ancient rivals from another world are vying to dominate Earth, and Mike and his team must choose which army to side with. The key to averting the crisis lies in a single weapon: Excalibur. The mythical, legendary sword of King Arthur is real and can unlock a galactic power beyond what anyone-human or alien-has ever seen. And Mike must keep it from falling into the wrong hands.

The race to recover Excalibur will lead the players all across the globe-from the ancient pyramids to the Great Wall of China, from a fortress on Easter Island to the heights of Mount Everest-in a high-stakes game in which the fate of humanity is the ultimate prize.

    Outstanding series

Just finished reading the complete Area 51 series and am wondering where the last book is leading, is the a follow-on or was this the last one? I love the way the he makes the reader think about, not just area 51, but about a lot of our myths and legands, the pyramids, the lost empires of South America etc, vampires, etc

I am hopeing that there is a follow-on involving the undead and Mike Turcott but until then I am going to hit up the Atlantis series next and go from there.

B&N, get you act together on the proof reading.

    Excalibur is awesome!!

This is the most exciting novel I have ever read. It is a mixture of imagination, truth, and US Government secrets. It kept me on my toes. I could not put it down.

one of the greatest books and series ever writen

I have been reading this series since it first came out, and with each book there has been no let downs, esspaically this one, all of the twists and turns and even a surpirse ending! This book leaves more questions then answers but it will make the next book (Area 51 the Truth) even better.

    Gret set of books

Area 51 set of books are the best or very close to the best I have ever read. The flow of the story is clean from one book to the other,It does not immerse you in a zillion characters which becomes hard to follow. The author has kept it simple and yet extraordinary. I cant wait for the last of the series comin out in early 2003.

    Excalibur a Thrilling Rollercoaster Ride

This book keep me and my friend at the braking point of insanity. Excalibur is a rollercoaster that everyone must ride. Turcotte has to be one of the greatest fictional characters along with Oliver Twiss and Frankenstin. Every page is not a step closer to the answers but steps asking more questions. When I read this book I sweated more than football practise in August in full gear that`s how exciting this book is! When I finsished I not only wanted more but I could not sleep because of the addrenaline pumping in veins. Doherty is one of the greatest authors in the class of Chareals Dickenson, J.R. Token, Jan Brett, and Mark Tawain.

    great adventure

the story offers some answers to questions that the previous books brought up, but more questions are raised. This is one of those books you just cant put down till you are finished. The mystery deepens when you learn that people are not who they appear to be. We finally learn what the aliens really have planned for earth in this great book.

    'The Truth' is near

More twists, turns, and unexpected facts come out in this book. Having read the previous five books I was left again with a sense of confusion, excitement, and concern. I have yet to be disappointed by a single book in this series. It was a quick and easy read which to me is what makes this series so enjoyable. The plot twists and manipulation of history are extremely complex and yet I have never felt lost. Do not try and start this series of books at any other point but the beginning, you will be lost. It would be fun to start this series at this point, no waiting 12 months until the next book. Thankfully we will not have to wait that long for the next installment. 'The Truth' will finally be reveled this summer!
