"Addicting....ARENA ONE is one of those books that you read late into the night until your eyes start to cross because you don't want to put it down."
--The Dallas Examiner

The sequel to the #1 Bestseller ARENA ONE!

In ARENA TWO, having just escaped from the treacherous island that was once Manhattan, Brooke, Ben, Logan, Bree and Rose make their way up the Hudson river in their stolen boat, low on fuel, low on food, and desperately needing shelter from the cold. On their tails are the slaverunners, who will stop at nothing until they capture them and bring them back.

As they make their way upriver in this post-apocalyptic, action-packed thriller, on their way to try to find the mythical city in Canada, they will need to use all their ingenuity and survival skills to stay alive. Along the way they will encounter crazed survivors, roving gangs of predators, cannibals, wild animals, a desolate wasteland, and an unstoppable blizzard. They sustain injuries, get sick, and the Hudson freezes over as they do their best to salvage what they can and avoid the slaverunners' pursuit. They find a small island and think they have found respite--until events don't go their way. It is not until they board a mysterious train to nowhere that they find that things can always get worse.

Along the way, Brooke's feelings for Logan intensify, as do her feelings for Ben. Torn between these two boys, caught between their jealousy, she is unsure how she feels--until events choose for her.

As they find themselves thrown back into an arena, they are shocked to discover that Arena Two is even worse. Thrown into a barbaric fighting stage, equipped with weapons, pitted against other teenagers--and against themselves--Brooke and the others will be forced to choose what's important, and to make the most difficult sacrifices of their lives. Because in Arena Two, no one survives. Ever.

"Grabbed my attention from the beginning and did not let go....This story is an amazing adventure that is fast paced and action packed from the very beginning. There is not a dull moment to be found."

I think it was great and not a hunger games rip off. Of course if you want to compare stories you can always say that humger games is off lord of the flies. But this book has a intetesting storyline

The survival trilogy is jusr like the hunger games, but with a twist. This trilogy is defintly more gruesome than the Hunger Games but I think if morgan rice could write better this would be the best of the two triligys. Rice definitly needs to work on her editing, i found many obvious mistakes in the book and i found it hard to concentrate on te story rather than her grammer. Once, she got the main characters name wrong. Seriously. I think the storyline is great and if you can get past grammer issues, then u should definitly buy this book.

The author needs a thesaurus or something. The most used word? Suddenly. Suddenly this, suddenly that. I started cringing everytime it came up. As if the author just couldn't figure out how to express how an event could happen quickly, without warning, without using Suddenly. It would've been a less annoying read if the same three or four phrases weren't used CONSTANTLY. Multiple times per page. The editor didn't do a very good job. This book is basically the hunger games, only less well written.

I loved Arena One. But during that whole book I was waiting for Ben to die and Logan to run away being the hero. So this book really was a disappointment. It seemed like Brooke lost some of her momentum. Before all her father taught her kept her going and her fight for Bree. She was respectable and strong. In this book it just felt like she sat back and was weak. Ben became a bigger loser, understandably so after the tradgy he faced in the last book. I loved the character Logan. He was strong and brave and smart. This book I was expecting to learn more about him and for his character to reach a new depth but that didn't really happen. This book was disappointing compared to Arena One. If you really like Arena One, I'd say read it, just to get some closure of what becomes of some of the characters. Maybe the next one will improve. But I'm not too hopeful after what happened
