    Treasured Cookbook

A most beautifully researched book. Having lived in Argentina for several years, I've missed the wonderful food and lamented (until now) the total lack of information in the US on Argentine cooking. As varied and rich as the better-known Mediterranean emphasis. Lots to chose from. In spite of Argentina's reputation as the prime beef captial of the world, there is plenty to please those who prefer poultry and fish. GREAT desserts. Really, an important addition to any serious cook's collection.

    ARGENTINA EATS!

WOW! Where has this food been all my life? This is a serious cookbook, not a coffee table lookie look. No big color pictures but lots of great recipes ( the 10 I've tried have come out perfectly) and fascinating information about Argentina...kind of The Dark Continent to most of us in the US. I recommend it to any serious cook and to all who want to take their flavors and ingredients in an exciting new direction.

    Argentina Cooks

Having traveled extensively and spent many memorable vacations in Argentina, it is wonderful to finally be able to recreate some of the glorious meals we enjoyed there. I agree it's a cookbook for serious cooks. It also gives you a lot of information about the country.

    Argentine Cuisine - an inspiration

After reading through Argentina Cooks, I didn't know whether to start cooking or start packing. Ms. Brooks makes Argentina come alive..she fired my imagination. I wanted to cook and eat everything...probably gained 20 lbs just reading it. She obviously knows and loves the country and its people. And she knows cooking and eating!
