Meet the Author

A Grant is one of my writing personas and quite different from the others.

Vigilante is my first novel and is a commentary on where our society could be heading if we do not make a hasty u-turn. Without giving anything away I can tell you that this a story about retribution run out of control and the moral dilemma we face when confronted with the corruption of justice and our society. This is a thriller through and through - there is action and the tension builds with every chapter.

Vigilante is a novel that should have been on the shelf 10 years ago, but as is so often the case with writers, I allowed myself to be sidetracked and I lost belief in myself on the advice of people I should have ignored.

Armageddon basically picks up where Vigilante left off - there are new characters and twists, but it shows but one of the ways that things can spin totally out of control if the right set of circumstances present themselves.

Amy is my first stab at a horror. I wanted to create something ordinary that takes a turn down the path of the expected and yet it still catches you by surprise and sends a shiver down your spine when my imagery and your imagination combine.

My other writing personas are Bruno Sentinel (he is the poet and philosopher) and Blake Strong (the dirty minded one)

I do not believe in being one dimensional, so I do not see me burying any of these personas - some of them may be dormant now and again, but never dead.

The hard copies of Vigilante and Armageddon are available on Createspace.

    Did not hold my interest.

This book did not hold my interest. It was if two seperate authors wrote it and they did not review what the other had written. There wasn't any continuity. It was a science fiction, fantasy, armagedon mystery. It was quite violent and had adult themes. The editing was pretty good, the length was nice. To be honest, I did not finish this novel. I only made it about half way through before I gave up. It did not hold my interest. Science fiction and fantasy are my least favorite genres. For readers 18 and older. I think men would be more apt to like this book, than women. It wasn't terrible, it was just written that way. Sorry, I was trying to be clever and put a humourous spin on my review.

    Good

The book grabs you from the start. The author has a talent for writing cataclysmic disaster scenes and the snapshot stories of the individuals in the middle of the action added depth to the disasters.

That being said, the writing changed by chapter 4 and it felt like it was a different story. The sudden transition from the threat of the shadow men to the Devil himself was part of that sense of discontinuity. But still well worth the read!
