Armor is the second in a new series by CL Scholy;Sheild being the first book. What an incredible world this author has written for us to explore. This book was heart felt. The Heroine is dying and is left on earth to her fate. She is strong and determine even in the darkest times. She protects the weak and asks for nothing for herself. Our hero is someone you can equally love. He isn't over the top Alpha male.
The author does a wonderful job painting very descriptive worlds so the reader can feel the hopelessness of Earth and the promise of Dargon. Bravo!
Now for the down side:
One thing wrong with this book is the length. This author can write. The story of the TWO main characters needed to be fleshed out more. When I say this author has talent I'm not kidding. This was an emotional story with the Heroine dying and CL Scholy unmercifully tugged on every heart string until the last page. I'm no lite weight but I was ready for my HEA and was well emotionally spent.
Next instead of this book being about one or two mated pairs it gives you three. Only the main two is the focus with the other two mentioned. Well I would have LOVED to know about their stories also. Especially Cobra's. That book is lost to us now. :( Still all said and done I did really like the first two book and will probably check out a third.
