    Good Source of Basic Info

This book is a good source of basic information on all sorts of tanks and armored vehicles. It is especially good for information on older types of such vehcles which readers will find reference to in books.

    Lots of misinformation and errors

I found many data errors in just the American sections that I am familiar with, I checked other references to make sure. Drawings may show one thing, data gives different details. Some of the drawings are for tanks not listed or for other tanks entirely. i.e. shows M47, gives data for M48. Drawing clearly shows bow MG, not listed in data. Fails to note that Abrams M1 was upgunned to 120mm, but still calls it,as 105mm, best tank in the world. Waste of money to buy this book

    Great little book

Armored Fighting Vehicles is a handy little reference book. It does not go into great detal, but it does provide a fair amount of technical information. It is filled with good pictures, I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in a quick refrence to the history of armored vehicles.
