This alphabetical listing of words about the human body provides definitions for each topic with photographs and illustrations. Photos of children in some kind of action are used when possible to show such things such as muscles, feet, and quadriceps. More technical illustrations are used when defining joints, lungs, and the stomach. A few words such as dream, giggle, and vitamins are also included. A "Guess What" sentence or two at the bottom of some of the pages gives additional information. A glossary defines more words and a page titled "More Body Talk!" contains an extensive list of related words. The bright and colorful pages should appeal to children and the simple presentation should be easy for children to comprehend. This book would be especially helpful to children who are beginning to learn English as a second language, and it could be utilized in beginning science classes. Part of the "Super Sandcastle" series, which is written for emerging and beginning readers. Reviewer: Vicki Foote
