As a novice, I am always looking for easy to use crochet instructions! Really enjoy using both the diagrams and instructions. The greatest part is that all of the borders include corners. I have only had this book a short while and have already used it for afgans, baby blankets, doilies... I can't seem to put it down. This will definitely be part of my crochet/craft library...

I haven't tried any patterns yet from this book, but I'm a Master level crocheter and taught it for many years at all levels. So just by reading the instructions I can tell they are well written and haven't found any mistakes so far... One thoughtful thing about the book, is that the colors of the yarn they chose for the examples (pictures), are very soothing to the eye and not so dark that you can't see the detail. I've found that if I can see the details clearly, I can work through and solve ANY mistake in the instructions (mistakes happen quite frequently with crochet and knitting patterns). The colors were not garishly bright or with extreme contrast either. I design most of my projects and this will be a great time saver to have the borders already to go including corners! My imagination runs wild with ideas on what to use these borders on... Everything from afghans, shawls, scarves, potholders and even Irish crochet lace and needle lace projects. Of course crochet borders are a great touch to many knitting projects too. I am well pleased.

I got this book as an e-book for my Nook App on my tablet. This way I could take it with me wherever I go and have the instructions available at any time. The patterns and colors look very good on my tablet, just as good as the physical book. The book explains how to setup the borders on fabric or yarn crafts. Number of stitches needed and how to calculate to get to the corner using the pattern. Patterns are in graphs and written instructions. Helpful for those of us that are not proficient in reading graphs. I have been using the patterns to put crocheted edgings on fleece blankets for gifts. So far they have all worked out well, and look very nice. I look forward to trying out many of the patterns. I recommend this book for anyone interested in adding a special flair to a knitted, crocheted or fabric project.

I borrowed this book from the local public library, and decided this is a must have for my crochet book library. Great for beginners and avid crocheters! Looking forward to creating great things!

I love this book. I create a lot of afghans and baby blankets and am not always happy with the recommended border pattern. Only problem is there are so many to choose from. Very user friendly, providing both charts and written instructions, as well as basic instructions for creating borders on woven, knitted and crocheted fabrics.

I am always looking for ways to make my work unique and more attractive. Since I rarely find craft books that I am completely satisfied with, I have learned to buy a craft book if I like approximately 50% of what is in it. I took a chance and ordered it online not knowing what I would find. I can honestly say that this book offered a wide variety of borders and liked approximately 60% of what was shown in the book. Since everyone has different tastes and I liked at least half of what was in the book, I would recommend it for anyone looking for borders that are attractive and unique
