Just Keepin' It Real!

'AROUND THE WAY GIRLS 2' was definitely stories based on the real deal in the hood. Each author choose different perspectives of the Black female dealing with her position on life while living around the way. KaShamba Williams laid it out raw! She delivered again. Her story about the character 'Juicy Brown' was powerfully written. Emotions will run high as you read. It'll bring laughter, tears and anger while reading the story. Thomas Long's story was also intricate as he wrote about his character 'Precious', daughter of a crackhead. The baggage she carried was almost unbearable. LaJill Hunt.......welllll, she took no prisoners as with her story pinning the conflict between two good friends - 'Lyric & Alicia'. This book was much better than the first of AROUND THE WAY GIRLS. The authors here are all veterans at the talent of writing. A job well done. GOODPEOPLES ARC Book Club Inc. Star Rating:*****5.0

    This book was AMAZING!!!

I really cant say how many times I have read this book. But each time I read it while I'm on the bus, train, airplane, in my room, after homework, during school you know basically anywhere...I learn something new about the book I didnt read before. Around the way girls 2 was by far the best books I have read in a long time. There's alot of drama, romance, emotional factors and I love this book.

Thanks...
To Kashamba Williams, Thomas Long & La Jill Hunt

    I Couldn't Put It Down!!!!!

This book was soooo good, I couldn't put the book down. All 3 stories were well written, but my favorite was Diamond n da ruff. This story actually made me cry. What I loved most about this book was that it was real and it exposes a lot of young black female struggles in life. 'especially surviving in New York.'

this will send you on an emotional rollercoaster

let's keep it real people THIS BOOK IS AMAZING, and to start it off with Juicy Brown, man i loved it. Her story made me cry for real. For a minute i felt like i was her, dealing with everything she dealt with. Now Precious and Alicia went through it too, but my favorite story was the one about Juicy. MAN!!!!!!!! i hope they make another around the way girls, so i can add it to my collection.

The first review must be a bad joke!

This book was off da hook! Every story was unique and had a different twist. It was a page turner. So hater, hate on because this book was great.

    This book was Okay

First of all, the book didn't pick up where the first one left off, I really wanted to know what happened to Cream a character in the first Around the Way Girls. I found the first story very hard to finish and the entire book was mediocre. I like to read so I finished the book anyway. I just wish the writers and the characters would have stayed the same. I'm glad I work at a library so I got to read it for free and I will not be buying it to add to my collection.

    Its a disgrace

I cant believe that this book was so bad. I was really excited into reading this book thinking that it will be good. If i can give this book 1/2 a star i would. The first was so good i dont know why the second one shouldnt be. Maybe they should have kept the same authors from the first one. It was a waste of time and i would not reccomend this book to another person.
