We used this book in our staff development book-reading club. I highly recommend it for all teachers no matter their experience level. Wonderful reading, full of helpful, usable information!

I read this book as part of a study group. The first two chapters are a bit dry but the rest give practical ways to apply what we know as best practices to our classrooms. The examples must be adapted to lower middle and elementary school. The concepts surrounding classroom procedures and routines made for interesting conversation in the group. Some of the information was more validation then new but having the statical information to back it up helps especially with new teachers.
