Green Day ~ Chapter One ~ Just this one

"Cekaireia! Come on!" I shuffle myself out the door. "I texted you the directions. Have a good day, honey!" I open up the map on my phone and ride my scooter down the hill where the directions say to go. Left turn, straight, right turn, you have reached your destination. It is a white brick school, with grape vines twining through the fences. I snap a photo of it and put it in a text to my mom. I add a note in the text. Is this my school from now on? I park my scooter on the bike rack and walk inside. As I walk into the door, a man with short grey hair wearing a blue and white pinstripe shirt with a yellow tie and black pants greets me. "Hello, you must be Cekaireia Williams. I'm Mr. Allen. Okay. Let's start. This school is a school for the highly gifted, but they aren't gifted in everything. Like kindness. Stick with it if you're bullied. And for the profile." He takes out his computer. "Name?"
"Cekaireia Alison Williams."
"Any nicknames?"
"Kai."
"Gender?"
"Female."
"Age?"
"10 and a half."
"Preferred background for pictures?"
"A volcano."
"Mkay. Time for the picture." He clicks on his computer, then pulls out a small metal cell from his pocket. He snaps it, then presses a button, then types some stuff on his computer. The printer makes some noises, then spits out a small peice of plastic. I look at it. My picture, with the volcano and my spiky, long, dark brown hair. My green eyes. The name Cekaireia "Kai" Alison Williams on the top. "Okay, Kai. I'll give you someone special to show you around— my daughter!" He looks at me, then turns to the microphone and taps it. "Amber Allen, report to the principal's office. I repeat, Amber Allen, report to the principal's office." A brunette with blue eyes skips in. "Yes, Daddy?"
I need you to show Kai here around the school. Kai, here are your schedule and locker info. I open up my locker info. "Locker 29. Where is that?" Amber leads me to some lockers by the window. "Here!" I swirl in my locker combo, and stuff my small bag in it. "So, Kai, I'm guessing you're tomboy."
"I am."
"So am I! You could be my bestie!" Yup. The new girl in school already has a bestie.
