    more from this reviewer

Do you want to learn how to enamel? Start here. This may be the only book you need!

A visually beautiful book with extraordinarily well written, practical instructions for anyone who wants to learn how to enamel on metal. I am new to the craft and am reading the book page by page. Unlike many "how to" books on the creative arts, this one leaves the beginner with very few questions about materials or techniques. The author manages to write both concisely and comprehensively, and she addresses not only the "how" but also the theory behind the process (the "why" we do it this way). She also includes some of the history of enameling, giving the reader a richer understanding of this wonderful, ancient craft. If you could only buy a single book on enameling, you ought to buy this one. You may well not need any others!

Beautiful and Instructive, a must have!

Hands down the best book on how to enamel on metal. Detailed explanations about supplies, tools, set up and safety leaves one feeling prepared to go to work in the studio. Step by step projects will guide the beginner through their first projects while learning techniques.

The Art of Enameling is also a visually beautiful book. There are many photos of Linda's work as well as other accomplished artists. This book will stay in my studio and will be an inspiration to me for years to come.
