If you've ever thought, "There must be more to life than this," The Art of Non-Conformity is for you.
Based on Chris Guillebeau's popular online manifesto "A Brief Guide to World Domination," The Art of Non-Conformity defies common assumptions about life and work while arming you with the tools to live differently. You'll discover how to live on your own terms by exploring creative self-employment, radical goal-setting, contrarian travel, and embracing life as a constant adventure.
Inspired and guided by Chris's own story and those of others who have pursued unconventional lives, you can devise your own plan for world domination-and make the world a better place at the same time.

The Art of non-conformity, interesting title I thought. I will admit this book helped me see things in a different light, perspective, and challenged me to think a little differently. I will on the other hand also say that it wasn't a huge eye opener for me or left me feeling like I was going to go out and change the world. I suppose it's because I already feel like we should do what we love and what we find valuable despite of what others may think (friends or family). If you are looking for some insightful ways to change your life keep one thing in mind-no book is going to do this for you, it's up to us! When we are ready to stop making excuses we will make changes then. I bought this book because I felt I was more than ready to make some changes in my life (nothing too drastic just stuff I was putting off). I have already started the wheels turning. I'd recommend this book to someone who's thinking about making changes and living life for their own happiness despite of our society's belief system. If you truly want a new perspective and think you tend to err on being more conservative then this book may help. Also, if you are teetering near the edge of making some real life changes, this may just push you over the edge to making your dreams come true. Keep in mind no matter what, it's up to you to make these changes happen. It's not magic, you must do the work. For me it was ok, but I can see how maybe for others this book would be life changing in some way.
