    I Also Recommend:

Don't Let it Lie to you

When i bought this deck as a gift for a friend who was just starting the art of divination through the Cards, both of us were sorely disappointed. For one, the illustrations on the deck are not very descriptive of the meaning of the cards, they do not even include reversals, and the book is a simple, kinder-gardener's approach to Tarot. The set is not even what it is marketed as- there is NO silk cloth in the package on which to do readings upon. Such was the selling point for me to buy this particular set over any others for my dear friend, and i was very much angered by the fact that the set lied, was short-coming in its features, and was generally a terrible disappointment. i do not recommend this set for anyone unless they are spooked by the occult, you hate them, and you want to give them a useless gift. For one, they will become paranoid that someone has sent them something they are uneasy around, and even if they decide to turn a bad thing into a good one by trying to use the set to learn Tarot, they won't be able to because the set goes into about as much detail as a dog would explaining the movements of the Andromeda starsystem. Do not buy this for any of it's "good features"; it is better off used as prank. You will have more fun, entertainment and education from the book recommended below, by knowing things that make you sound smart to the stupid, overambitious to the intelligent.

I bought this deck a long time ago at Barnes and Noble. I was actually looking for a bigger tarot deck and a lady went back to the storage room and brought me this deck. I had a connection when holding onto this deck. I use this deck almost all the time and I'm in love with it. Wasn't aware that it came with a silk cloth cause the box that I got them in was a bit different. But I ended up going to my local witchy shop and bought a tarot box for it. Overall, I'm glad that I bought it.

    So much fun!

This set of tarot cards are great for the beginner! This set includes the cards and the book explaining what each card means. In the book you will also find different styles of readings. For example you can learn how to do the 7 days reading or a whole year reading or past, present and future. They're lots of fun and a you may just be surprised by what actually comes true!

    A multidimensional look at myself...

Very good for a beginner. Though a pouch is recommended to store the cards and is not included. You might want to give on with this if it is a gift.

Don't let the low price fool you.

Don't let the low price fool you - this is a fantastic deck of tarot cards for a beginner. The artwork is beautiful. The cards are a comfortable size to hold. The book is direct in the explaniation of each card and it walks you through easy as well as complex spreads. This is by far my favorite set of tarot cards to do personal readings from.

    Great!!!!

I always wanted to learn more about tarot. I found this set by searching Barnes and Nobles online. Something about the way it looked made me want to buy them. I also read everyones reviews and I thought if they like it than most likely I will too. I had these cards for about two months and my readings have been right on the money. I can't believe every reading I have done so far has been accurate! I love it!

Perfect for the curious or the novice!

I was considering learning a divination skill like tarot but every deck I felt 'drawn to' was said to be too complicated for a beginner. I saw this at B&N and thought for the price I can't go wrong! I had actually planned to just use it to learn but the cards are beautiful and sweet and I love them. I will likely keep them for a long long time.

    Great for beginners

I'm new at working with tarot cards and I believed that the book and set was extremely helpful, before I purchased this set I was looking into a different deck, but saw this set and I couldn't leave without it! Thanks to it I can now at least semi understand the meanings and I really feel that this deck is a great one!

    great book

I stumbled on this set while trying to find some other deck of cards which I could not find but something about these decks catched my eyes and I purchased this set and I don't regret it the book is easy to understand and the cards are easy to handle and read. The explanations for each card is very helpfull. I disagree with the other reviews that say you need a second book to understand some cards because you have to 'feel' what the card means to you also not just go by what you are reading.

Feels right but something is missing

I am new at tarot reading and this is my first deck (besides one that my great aunt left to me, that I do not know how to use). Anyway, I feel that the explanations for what the cards mean are clear. However, I was confused about what an upright vs. a reversed meaning, meant. That was not explained clearly enough. Otherwise, I feel connected to the deck and I am doing what it says about sleeping with it under my pillow. But I have to agree with the other reviewer that said another book is needed for clarity.

    I Like it!

I am a beginner to Tarot. After purchasing three other decks, I stumbled across this one at the discount book store. I was a little apprehensive, the other decks I have purchased have been a disappointment. Too busy and too difficult to handle. One deck was laminated and made shuffling a problem. The minute i opened this deck up and handle it, it just 'felt right'. The book has very simple explanations, that are easy for a beginner to understand. It doesn't bombard you with unneeded info when your just starting out. I would really recommend it especially for a beginner.

i liked the package deal but the book does not explain a whole lot. you would need another book to explain all the needed details.

    Tarot for Fun

I saw this in the store yesterday and purchased it. I was looking for another version of the cards, but the illustrations on this set were so sweet, nostalgic and playful that I just had to get them!! They are an excellent size for use (larger than a regular deck of cards), and the illustrations are so appealing that I could just look at them for the pleasure of it. The book is very small, but is nevertheless packed with information. This is not a set for advanced readings -- but it certainly gives enough information to get started on the path. And the cards can be retained for use once the book is outgrown. This item scores high across the board. I'm so glad I found it!
