Great concept art from bioware truly don't pass this up great info about the drafting and designing of mass effect 1 2 and 3 in addition to that there are some hints and spoilers as to what's coming up in the third one.
Let me start off by saying that I am a huge Mass Effect fan; played them all and was excited to read this. It goes into detail really well about a lot of the things in all 3 games. The art is very well done and each page is devoted to a single item or character, etc. Not only does it show the concept art, but it goes into how the drawing was created and the thought processes behind it. I was really surprised that it only offered 1 spoiler for the last game, but it turned out that after I beat the game and went back to read the part about the last game, the spoiler I thought I saw was not in the game. Overall it’s a great book for a diehard fan. Reviewed by Kole for Book Sake.
The gorgeous art is the main draw but, I found myself genuinely interested and at times surprised by the comments. They reveal some intriguing insight into the characters and places Mass Effect fans have grown so used to. More than a few characters would have been very different had they went with their original creative choices. The franchise has seen its share of controversy and backlash but, seeing this will make a fan remember what brought them to the series in the first place.
One of the nicest artbooks I've ever owned very strong cover and the content is very well designed even with the attention to detail via artist comments and quotes for the artists.
