Avoid Tom O'Brien, this book and TFNN if you want to succeed in the market

Steve is a troll and knows not what he talks about. Tom O'Brien has admitted on his radio show that his system hasn't worked well in the past year since his system doesn't work when prices continue to rise on lower volume. Steve's claim that he can assure you 1000% that this is the road to financial success is totally false. The reviewers on Amazon talk about the money lost following Tom and his gimmicky system. If you are still thinking about buying this book, do yourself a favor and check out the reviews on Amazon. For me, I would never, ever buy anything from Tom O'Brien or TFNN ever again. There are some excellent investment books available on investing systems that have worked for decades and continue to make money (Covel's Trend Followers and Bill O'Neil's How to Make Money in Stocks are some great examples). In my opinion, Tom is a huckster who knows his system is faulty yet happily takes your money anyways. Run, don't walk away from this book.

    Purchase with caution

This book is highly sophisticated and VERY technical and extremely difficult to follow and/or understand for the small/moderate well educated investor. I think they are easier and better books available as guides. This item should be used by the highly sophisticated trader.

    Outstanding Book On The Markets

This is an excellent book that I would highly recommend to any trader. I read and studied Tom's first book, which was packed with great information, and it really had a big impact on making me a successful trader. At $88 it was the most expensive book I had ever bought (besides a college textbook) but it proved to be worth every penny. At under $20 for this book it's a "no brainer". You get all the great info from the first book, plus more. There are lots of great nuggets of wisdom throughout the book, but here are the big concepts that you absolutely MUST learn if you want to have success as a trader.

Quality Volume - This is the "missing piece" for most traders that have studied other technical indicators and just can't seem to find success. Volume is what distinguishes real moves from fake ones, and Tom explains this so it's easy to understand. It still takes time to get good at it, but you'll never look at a price chart the same once you understand this critical concept.

The Four Phases of a stocks Price Cycle - This one will give you that "aha" moment. When you understand this concept you'll be able to see where the Operators are in the market, and it's uncanny how easy this is to see once you know what to look for.

Testing - This has been a part of Tom's system forever but it was never explained this clearly before. This chapter blew me away and it alone is worth many times the price of the book.

Tiger Scaling - This is brand new in this book and it is really an interesting concept. Most traders will go with half positions or thirds kind of randomly, but this gives you a precise method of scaling into trades and managing your money. If you can't manage your risk you'll never be a successful trader, so this concept is absolutely important.

The one other concept that I would consider a MUST learn is the Tiger Gartley Pattern. I don't have enough personal experience with it yet, but it seems to be getting a lot of buzz and people are saying good things about it.

Tom's Timing The Trade system has had a huge impact on making me successful in the stock market and this book contains tons of information that will help you too. Tom also has a ton of great information on his website for free that you should use too. There are radio shows and videos and all kinds of stuff. Some of it is educational, some of it just entertainment, but either way, it's free, so it's worth it.

FINANCIAL FREEDOM IS ONE READ AWAY

FINANCIAL FREEDOM IS 100% ATTAINABLE - as long as you learn how to make your money work for you. I can say with 1,000% CERTAINTY that "The Art of Timing the Trade" is "THE" ROADMAP to attaining FINANCIAL FREEDOM. Tom's first book combined with his training programs and radio show were the fuel for my WEALTH BUILDING ENGINE. Tom taught me that Successful Traders determine in seconds when to enter a trade and when to exit a trade. It's the one skill that all successful traders use that has more impact on their success than any other. Speaking from personal experience, "The Art of Timing the Trade" WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING IN THE WAY THAT YOU TRADE! BRAVO TOM!
