It's been three months since Alexis helplessly witnessed Lydia Small's violent death, and all she wants is for her life to return to normal.

But normal people don't see decaying bodies haunting photographs. Normal people don't have to deal with regular intrusions from Lydia's angry ghost, sometimes escalating to terrifying attacks.

At first, it seems that Lydia wants revenge on Alexis alone. But a girl from school disappears one night, and Alexis spots one of Lydia's signature yellow roses lying on the girl's dresser the next day. Soon, it becomes clear that several of Alexis's friends are in danger, and that she's the only person who can save them. But as she tries to intervene, Alexis realizes that her enemy is a much more powerful ghost than she's ever faced before... and that its fate is tied to hers in ways she couldn't possibly imagine.

Not even in her worst nightmares.

Editorial Reviews

VOYA - Stacey Hayman
Two and a half months after Lydia's funeral, sixteen-year-old Alexis feels more lost and alone than ever. Being kept at a distance by the kids at school is painful, and having Carter break up with her hurts more, but maybe worst of all is being afraid to look through the viewfinder of her beloved camera. Now Alexis cannot look at a photograph without seeing ghostly images of the dead and how they died. When Jared, a cute boy she met during a photo contest in September, begins to show interest, Alexis is hesitant but hopeful: but nothing is that easy for Alexis. When girls start to disappear, all connected in some way to her new relationship, Alexis realizes there is a new spirit in town, and it is angry. Delivering even more fabulously unforgettable, spine-tingling moments, this third entry in the Bad Girls Don't Die series upholds the high standards of superbly crafted storytelling set twice before. Just when it seems the characters might be falling into a caricature trap, they break free and become real again. The complex supernatural details and developing personal relationships are nicely balanced to keep readers turning the pages with anticipation. In the tradition of all excellent scary movies, fans might just find themselves repeatedly shouting, "Don't do it!" in hopes of warning Alexis, but lucky for the reader, she never seems to hear. This is not a choice for the faint of heart or for those who object to stories centered around witchcraft or the occult. Reviewer: Stacey Hayman
Children's Literature - Toni Jourdan
The third book in the "Bad Girls Don't Die" series, we catch up with sixteen year old Alexis Warren who is struggling to forget all the damage that has followed her through her teen years. She has broken up with her boyfriend, Carter, her friends have abandoned her since the incident drenched in the occult and she is trying to get over witnessing the death of fellow student, Lydia Small. Three months later she is back at school trying to get her life back to normal, whatever that means. Only she has found that when she tries to resume her passion for photography, she now has some glitches in her photos. Glitches, as in dead people. She sees them everywhere but none are as persistent as Lydia who seems at first to be behind the disappearances of local girls. Alexis meets Jared, a fellow photographer, and they begin a relatively "normal" relationship, except it seems that there is some connection to Jared, Alexis and the girls that are meeting untimely ends. Then there is this ghost in a purple dress and the yellow roses that seem linked to the missing girls and now to Alexis. Add in Alexis' stint in the psych ward at Harmony Valley and her new friendship with ghostly Lydia. How can Alexis take any good yearbook shots when her classmates think she is a murderer? What does it all mean and will Alexis fall under the spell of this mysterious female energy form? Quite the page turner for those who enjoy a good ghost story with many twists and turns that make you think you've figured out what's happening to the girls, but you probably haven't. Even if you haven't read the first two books in the series, this book will draw you in with its supernatural powers. Reviewer: Toni Jourdan

    Awesome

I think this book was the best one in the triology. It keeps your heart racing, just like the others, but I feel that this book was the most unpredictable and exciting. It really got me thinking! You honestly can never know what will happen. But the ending is magnificent because all of your questions are FINALLY answered and you will not be left wondering what happens to Alexis, or anything like that. I love this whole series and how she wraps this up is pure genius. FIVE STARS!!!

Most complex book of the series

This was far one of the weirdest books i have ever read. All my predictions about everything were wrong until the book came out and told me. This book kept me reading. Jared is unbeilvable scary and weird toward the middle and end of the book. This is one of the... best books actually i have ever read. It kept me guessing and my mind racing. This series is different with a good and unexecpted twist in each chapter of every book in the series. Alexis i sympathized with her so much. Nobody could handle all those stares, glares, whispers, accusations, blaming, stress, pressure, the lonilness, the feelings of always being scared... it made me cry for her. This bbook has every emotion a teen goes through rejection with people, people thinking ur weird and uncool. Exepct the crazy ghost thingg cause no living human being could live through that trauma. Must read series and this is by far the best book if the series. Loved all the charcters in this book exepct jared. Carter and Alexis r the perfect couple.

    Book Review

This book was amazing! No exaggerating, once i started i couldnt stop! Every chapter was a secret revealed, every page was an unexpected twist, and every paragraph was exiting and made me long for more! The details were vivid, and frightened me as i imagened each descriptive word. It was truely magnificent. Alender, you have done it again with yet another amazing book. What a perfect end to this spooky trilogy and that made me stay on the edge of my seat throughout the whole intire book. :)

    Good read but bad ending

This book was better than the second and it kept me guessing. Mostly everything was resolved at the end except for what happened to lydia, which was a disappointment considering she helped alexis throughout the entire book.

Best Bits: This one is as creepy as the cover! Seriously, all the books in the series kept me up at night (reading until 3, and then being unable to sleep because I'm freaking out). Alender does a great job of building up the suspense. I was reading what was happening to the characters, but I felt as helpless as Alexis. I came up with a ton of theories, and they were all wrong. This is the third, and final, book in the series. The great thing about this series is that we get to see the same characters, but each story is unique. It deals with a variety of paranormal entities, and while the overall theme may be the same, the way that the character's grow is different. I've never felt like I'm rereading the same book with the only difference being in the name of the baddie. I can't wait for more from Alender. Uh, hopefully it's not as scary, though.

Nit Picks: This one was a little long, at over 400 pages. Obviously I'm not one to shy away from long books, but I do think that it would have had the same impact if some scenes had been cut.
