Overview

Shelly, a young widow who had been sleep-walking through the last year of her life after her husband's untimely death, finally wakes up to the call of adventure. In her garage are the motorcycles her husband left behind and she finds she can't get the unrealized dream out of her mind. What would it be like to learn to ride?

The intriguing question haunts her and she makes plans to call someone who can lend a hand--someone she had heard was single again. Did she want to contact her late husband's best friend because he could help or was there more than the desire to ride urging her forward?

Her mother had always said she was a dare-devil but Shelly learns that handling a heavy, motorized machine on two wheels in her risky quest to ride, might be easier than dealing with her teacher's beautiful ex-wife.

And when Shelly uncovers a secret that causes her heart to crumble and shakes her whole world--she has to decide how much she is going to let the devastating knowledge affect the rest of her life--especially when even her inner dare-devil is afraid.

Shelly's passion for life will take her for an intriguing ride she will never forget and it will be "The Ride of Her Life."

Once again, Regina Russell, featured author of Abner Publishing for the summer of 2012, has delivered the winning combination of romance and intrigue in this great summer read.

Editorial Reviews

B&N - Billy J. Russell
I really love this book. I ride myself and this story relates to me a lot. The characters are well fleshed out and the details are accurate which for I grade the authors. It was a really hard book to stop reading before I got to the end. I generally read only Christian fiction and this is very good writing.

Overall...Wonderful! This book tells an intriguing and original story with a strong, witty female as the main character. It's nearly impossible not to identify with Shelly. Actually, it would be impossible not to identify with at least one of the characters in the book. They all have very real problems. If you're like me and don't tend to read that many Christian authors, this book is very refreshing because of its positive outlook on everything, including the problems we all face.

This is a wonderful book. Regina is such a good author. If you haven't read this book, I would highly recommend it. Now if she would do a couple sequels..................
