    One of My Favorite CDs

I found Michael McDermott thru a Chicago radio station and simply fell in love with the music, lyrics and voice. His raw, honest emotional words remind me of David Baerwald and David Ricketts "David & David" and I have since been compelled to own all his recordings. You will too.

What a record! He's puts everything he's got into this. Like nothing else on the radio today. So original and filled with heart and emotion!

Ashes is McDermotts best work to date.

A timeless, powerful, redemptive, rock record filled with spiritual themes that work themselves out on the gritty back roads and smoke filled, whiskey stained bars of everyday life. Written and song by some one that has been there and knows the way out...
