Overview

Ask the Teacher: A Practitioner's Guide to Teaching and Learning in the Diverse Classroom, Second Edition

Mark Ryan, Walden University

0-205-52219-X

Using a straightforward and versatile question and answer approach,
Ask the Teacher presents concise, positive, down-to-earth advice about teaching and learning in the diverse classroom.

The book is geared to answer the most frequently asked questions that come up in the daily life of a teacher. The answers are based on up-to-date learning theory as well as research-based best practice. As you ask along with author Mark Ryan, you’ll uncover a wealth of information about educational issues in foundations, educational history and psychology, language and culture, classroom management, curriculum, methodology, inclusion, and family involvement in the learning enterprise–all of the signposts on the road of a professional education program. The eleven content-based units let you quickly and easily find answers to numerous questions facing the new teacher. All in all, this volume is an easy to understand, useful off-the-shelf handbook for the 21st century teacher.
