This was a really good book.  It was an emotional roller coaster, and it was hot.  The best of both worlds.  This book was also very well edited, no typos or misspellings.
.  I also love that the story naturally ends.  You can read the next book if you wish, but the story you have is a full story.  Thank you.  This one is worth the money.  I enjoyed it.

** spoiler alert ** Five stars is NOT enough! I loved, loved, loved this story so very much!!Though at first I wasn't into the concept of the book but after reading the Synopsis, I thought it was intriguing. Different then most romances, this one focused on Emelia (Mia for short)a gamer, Blogger and proud computer geek who puts her virginity up for the highest bidder. With help from her best friend the bid is soon won by a very rich game programmer by the name of Adam. Takes her to many far away places before secrets come out that can rip their relationship apart. Can he take himself away from work long enough to see the hurts of the past is what Mia needs? Turns out Adam had been seeking her out longer then she first thought. A true love story at the core. Adam and Mia make a great sexy pair!
Characters are truly believable. Cover looks great! I look forward to reading more by this author! A great read for all romance lovers! There is a lot to love about this book! You want this book, you know you want too!

EEP! So I am going to go totally fangirl over this book! I LOVED it! This is every nerd girl/gamer chicks dream! So I wont spoil too much, but obviously you have read the blurb, so you know the plot. It was so fun and original, and completely set this book apart for me.

Not only was the storyline clever and amusing, but the characters were awesome as well. Adam was delicious, rich, and a total geek at heart, I soooo have a new book bf! Amelia was a total bad-ass blogger who is seriously cool with all her gaming and dork knowledge. I found her easy to relate to and strong, but not withought her flaws, which she has to face in this book. The secondary cast was great as well.

The steaminess was perfect. Just the right amount of love scenes for me, enough to tease and keep me interested, but not overload that causes me to skim by.

I loved Breanna Aubrey's writing style. She was so amusing and humorous, as well as bright and exceptional.

Overall I was so happy to have stumbled upon this read. I could not put it down and read in one sitting into the wee hours! The story was not a cliffhanger, but Mia and Adam will get to light up imaginations again in two more books, it appears! I only pray they come out super fast while the story is fresh on my mind, because I am now impatiently awaiting them!

    Enjoyable!

I enjoyed this book. I am not blown away by it like some books I have read and I am not sure if I would re-read it, but I will read the next in the series. I did not realize that this is the first book in a trilogy of books. To me this book could be a stand alone as it felt complete to me. So, even though I am not sure where the next book will go, I do plan on reading it. ENJOY!!!

    Good reading

A well-written story, giving a realistic rendering of how our lives are controlled by experiences in our early years. Some of these result in our becoming very ambitious, and motivated to improve our physical and/or mental self. Others cause us to become inhibited- afraid of forming emotional ties...of falling in love.
The story is written to keep your interest.....knowing (hoping) what would happen, but needing to keep reading to see what would transpire.
    Recommend for all romanticists!

I wasn't sure about this book at first because I know nothing about gaming nor am I interested in it but I have friends who have been into it. I am sure glad I didn't let that aspect of the book deter me because once I really got into the meat of the story I was thoroughly entertained and so sucked in that I didn't want to put the book down. Sure, there were some things that I found hard to believe as the story began and I kind of had a feeling I knew where the story was headed early on but I still had a good time reading as the story unfolded before my eyes. If you want an easy, quick, dependable and feel good romance story then this is a sure pick. I am interested enough to follow the next book and it was a refreshing surprise to see I can get more of Emilia and Adam soon.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked Mia and Adam and learning what makes them tick. A wonderful romantic story of two hurting people finding each other but would they be able to accept their past and move on together? The sex was pretty explicit which I can overlook but the f bomb was used a little too often for my taste. But after saying all that, I will be buying the next book when it comes out because the story was very good and the characters very likeable. JudyE

Okay, so major points for: video gaming, blogging, med schoo

Okay, so major points for: video gaming, blogging, med school, and new adult all tied into one. It sucked me in and caught my attention balancing this well. I love the premise, and Mia was easy to relate to and read about. I liked that she kept her distance, that she had high goals, but had some difficulties meeting them, so she is having to work super hard in order to reach those dreams.
The chemistry between Mia and Drake was great, and it made me want to keep reading. The interruptions, the conversations, the flirting and the steam were all well written and kept me entertained.
I had a few theories about the game, why Drake was single, why he bid, and it was fun to see what was right and wrong.
Me and all of my nerd glory really got into this book and felt right at home. While I don't do massively multiplayer, I do like to play co-op video games with my husband, with the adventuring and the classes, so all of the terminology felt spot on to me, and I could also def relate to the blogging, guest posts, commenting, the pressure, the fun, etc.
There was a lot of back and forth between Drake and Mia, and the tension was def up. They both hid things from each other, and it made things and communication hard. I understood where both were coming from though.
I wasn't sure how the ending was going to give any kind of closure, but Brenna managed, and I have enough Drake and Mia until the next one finally comes out.

Bottom Line: Nerdy story and electric chemistry.

    A really fun read

Emilia Stone (Mia to her friends) has noticed something. Everywhere she looks in the gaming world, there’s a scantily clad female character — often in need of saving. Independent to a fault, she can hardly relate, & she doesn’t hold back her thoughts on her popular gaming blog. When it comes to saving, she’s more than capable of taking care of herself, even if it means boxing up half her lunch to save for dinner, no cell phone lack of payment, & auctioning off her virginity. She can take care of herself, & if that means handing over her first time to pay for her mother’s meds, the mortgage, & medical school, then so be it. Too much value has been assigned to so-called “purity,” & she’s going to get her money’s worth.

Adam Drake is a long way from his troubled childhood, & he’s earned every bit of it. While most his age are starting out in careers, still burdened by student loans & a lack of direction, he’s built a business empire that guarantees him everything he wants — & what he wants is to spend every free second working. Or at least that’s what he thought.

This story was soooo not what I’d thought it would be, & that’s a wonderful thing. I certainly don’t mind the dashing gazillionaire saving the destitute virgin left with no other option than to sell herself to the highest bidder; if written well, it can be an entertaining story. But this one’s altogether different, & that’s what made it such a fun read.

Adam is a powerful man in the business world, but he’s not perfect, plus he doesn’t have that self-loathing martyr thing going. He doesn’t play the “You’re too good for me, so I’m pushing you away despite my feelings” card, & while he throws out a few mixed signals, he’s generally just a good guy.

Mia’s not some helpless victim. She stands to lose a lot if she doesn’t get his money, but she’s also got a lot going for her. She’s a popular blogger, has a decent job, & has a great support system. Auctioning her virginity isn’t a last resort; it’s a misguided attempt to take better control of her life. Suffice it to say, these aren’t your cookie cutter characters.

    But...
So about that editing… Actually, it wasn’t bad. Either I was to engrossed in what was happening to notice, or this is one of the few stories I’ve read lately that had a damned good editor. What made me pause is the confusion between the correct "Hear, hear," & the oft-used "Here, here" – the latter of which is overwhelming (mis)used by those people on Facebook who assume that their, there, & they’re are interchangeable. Then again, that phrase popped up in describing comments left on Mia’s blog, so maybe it was a subtle way of pointing out that even in fiction, most people online have no clue what words they’re actually using? Let’s pretend that was it, so I don't get all twitchy. Clearly, I'm way too affected by grammar crap.

    The Verdict...
I was really surprised by this book. I expected it to follow the usual recipe for this sort of plot line, but it strayed wonderfully. Mia is portrayed with much more strength than you normally see, & Adam isn’t that tortured, cold megalomaniac whose icy heart just needs a chance to thaw. Sure, there’s some miscommunication, & both hesitate to lay their hearts bare, but overall it was a refreshing change of pace for a popular plot line. & really, who among us book nerds can’t appreciate some geeks? If you like a little awkwar

Mia has proudly maintained her independence for as long as her scholarship and hospital internship has allowed. But life doesn't always play fair and Mia takes a leap to prove a point - that her virtue is still something of value in this modern society...so she auctions her virginity.

The lucky winner is game developer and wealthy CEO Adam. He plays hot and cold for a big part of the story which totally confuses and frustrates poor Mia. She tries her damnedest to maintain this as a business transaction...but this proves very difficult.

There is so much more to the story, a lot of it is mysterious and you will scratch your head trying to put the pieces together. But I promise you the ending is worth getting to! There is love, friendship, heartbreak, frustration and a little hot sex...but ultimately the book is choc-a-block full of characters you will totally fall in love with.

A great story with fantastic characters...Ms Aubrey has done a wonderful job...I cannot wait to see what she has in store next!

** I received a copy via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review**
I have read a story similar to this one and thought for sure they would be alike. Which would of been okay because I liked the other one too. But I am pleased to say aside from auctioning of her virginity the similarities differ. Though a few major points in the book I figured out before the reveal I still enjoyed this book. I look forward to continuing the story of Mia and Adam.
Mia Strong is a self proclaimed geek girl who not only plays the video games but also blogs about them. But don't let that throw you off, she's still a beautiful girl who loves to run and is studying to retake the MCATS to start medical school. Therein lies the problem. Medical School. How is she supposed to pay for it? She works constantly, plays her games and writes her blog, PLUS studying. Her bright idea? To take control of what is hers. She owns her hymen, no one else does. Women and their virginity has been given away for as long as time. Given away when they didn't always want but for dowry. Men back in the day paid a lot for a virgin. So she figures why not just sale it off herself? her best friend Heath, doesn't think it's a good idea but supports her and makes sure he screens the man completley. In fact he is in charge in choosing the match for her. He finds what he thinks is the perfect match. After all it's just one night.

Adam Drake is the hot, rich, sexy as sin business man that meets all of Mia's requirements. He owns Draco Enterprises. Self taught, self made millionaire. Hot geeky guy? Yes, please.
From their first meeting sparks fly. They have chemistry alright, but Adam is also a bit of an ass at first. But really I think he was just testing Mia. After all if you can't talk about sex should you be doing it?

This was supposed to be a one time thing. But what happens if you start to want more? Both have their own secrets. The more they slowly begin to confide in one another the harder it becomes to part ways. Past secrets come out, worlds collide, can they withstand everything that is thrown out at them? Where does it all leave them? Well READ IT to find out! I for one cannot wait for the rest of the series.
