This was a really good book.  It was an emotional roller coaster, and it was hot.  The best of both worlds.  This book was also very well edited, no typos or misspellings.
.  I also love that the story naturally ends.  You can read the next book if you wish, but the story you have is a full story.  Thank you.  This one is worth the money.  I enjoyed it.

    Enjoyable!

I enjoyed this book. I am not blown away by it like some books I have read and I am not sure if I would re-read it, but I will read the next in the series. I did not realize that this is the first book in a trilogy of books. To me this book could be a stand alone as it felt complete to me. So, even though I am not sure where the next book will go, I do plan on reading it. ENJOY!!!

** spoiler alert ** Five stars is NOT enough! I loved, loved, loved this story so very much!!Though at first I wasn't into the concept of the book but after reading the Synopsis, I thought it was intriguing. Different then most romances, this one focused on Emelia (Mia for short)a gamer, Blogger and proud computer geek who puts her virginity up for the highest bidder. With help from her best friend the bid is soon won by a very rich game programmer by the name of Adam. Takes her to many far away places before secrets come out that can rip their relationship apart. Can he take himself away from work long enough to see the hurts of the past is what Mia needs? Turns out Adam had been seeking her out longer then she first thought. A true love story at the core. Adam and Mia make a great sexy pair!
Characters are truly believable. Cover looks great! I look forward to reading more by this author! A great read for all romance lovers! There is a lot to love about this book! You want this book, you know you want too!

EEP! So I am going to go totally fangirl over this book! I LOVED it! This is every nerd girl/gamer chicks dream! So I wont spoil too much, but obviously you have read the blurb, so you know the plot. It was so fun and original, and completely set this book apart for me.

Not only was the storyline clever and amusing, but the characters were awesome as well. Adam was delicious, rich, and a total geek at heart, I soooo have a new book bf! Amelia was a total bad-ass blogger who is seriously cool with all her gaming and dork knowledge. I found her easy to relate to and strong, but not withought her flaws, which she has to face in this book. The secondary cast was great as well.

The steaminess was perfect. Just the right amount of love scenes for me, enough to tease and keep me interested, but not overload that causes me to skim by.

I loved Breanna Aubrey's writing style. She was so amusing and humorous, as well as bright and exceptional.

Overall I was so happy to have stumbled upon this read. I could not put it down and read in one sitting into the wee hours! The story was not a cliffhanger, but Mia and Adam will get to light up imaginations again in two more books, it appears! I only pray they come out super fast while the story is fresh on my mind, because I am now impatiently awaiting them!

I know! This is yet another contemporary romance, not my usual thing at all. I picked this up for 99 cents earlier this year because the premise  fascinated me: Mia, a geek girl and a gamer, auctions off her most prized possession, her virginity at age 22, to the highest bidder. She needs cash so she can afford medical school, pay off her mother’s debts, and give herself some much-needed respite from constant financial worries. Mia is also a successful gamer blogger who writes articles reviewing games on her blog. But her real dream is to attend medical school.
The winner of her auction is Adam Drake, the twenty-six year old CEO of Draco Enterprises, the designer of some of Mia’s favorite online games. What’s his motive? He’s rich, successful, and devastatingly handsome. Mia’s first impressions, however, besides his gorgeous good looks, aren’t favorable as Adam comes across as blasé and overly confident:
"The guy had the social skills of a caveman. Any minute I expected him to grab me by the hair and drag me out of the place with a club resting on his shoulder. Maybe he had to pay regularly to get his sex. He was a computer geek, after all."
But Adam is not all that he seems. He has a serious history as a bullying victim and becomes involved in Mia’s life in many unexpected ways. What starts out as merely a very unorthodox business transaction quickly evolves into something much more serious than Mia ever intended.
Their conversations are wonderful and sometimes funny. Adam is impressed by Mia’s blog and her insights as a young female gamer. As they are constantly, frustratingly, thwarted in their consummation/business deal and it drags on longer than the intended one night, they get to know each other in a way that Mia never wanted. And the more time they spend together, the more they want to learn more about each other’s secrets and motives.
Their romance is a slow and sweet seduction, even if they are jetting off (first class) to Amsterdam or St. Lucia or relaxing on his yacht. But as time goes by and the deal still isn’t done, both begin to question their original intentions.
This story surprised me in many unexpected ways. I expected a trivial, light and fluffy love story, but it’s not that at all. There are some serious trust issues, very painful pasts to overcome, and wonderful portrayals of friendships and love, especially in the secondary characters: Heath, Mia’s gay childhood friend who protects her, Adam’s loving family, and Mia’s single mother, a much stronger woman than Mia ever believed.
“Loving someone meant giving them the power to crush you—putting the tenderest, most delicate part of yourself in the palm of someone else’s hand.”
There are many beautiful moments in this story:
    “‘You’re worth waiting for.’”
"I would miss him, beyond just his magic hands. HIs conversation, his boyish smile, his caring consideration, his keen perceptiveness, his clean ocean smell."
“Every minute I spent with you made me want a hundred minutes more.”
The love scenes are very hot and sensual, but the love story is central, very emotional, and poignantly captured.
There is a nice surprise in the acknowledgments as Aubrey mentions some of my favorite authors: Tessa Dare, Sabrina Darby, Kate McKinley, and Courtney Milan. Like those authors, I very much enjoy Aubrey’s rich and tender voice and clear and concise writing style. She is in very good company and is an author to watch.
Anyone who loves a good love story will enjoy this romance. I’m not a gamer in the least so if you are, bonus points for you. This is the first in Aubrey’s Gaming the System series, and I will definitely be reading more.

    Excellent storytelling. Emotional and compelling.

Very few books grab your emotions to make you feel like you were feeling exactly like the female character was feeling. Diana Gabaldon (Outlander series) does this extremely well. Now I have found another that does it well, Brenna Aubrey. At least in this book she did. Love story for all ages!

I will tell you what, I could not put this book down.  I normally read Bella Andre books, but this just captivated me.  Kind of lost the gaming portion of the book, but it was so enchanting.  I love reading about the story, the love, the attraction, and the swooning.  I can not wait for book 3 to come out!!!!

    Good reading

A well-written story, giving a realistic rendering of how our lives are controlled by experiences in our early years. Some of these result in our becoming very ambitious, and motivated to improve our physical and/or mental self. Others cause us to become inhibited- afraid of forming emotional ties...of falling in love.
The story is written to keep your interest.....knowing (hoping) what would happen, but needing to keep reading to see what would transpire.
    Recommend for all romanticists!
