Kate Chopin (1851-1904) was an American writer primarily of short stories, although she completed two novels. Within a decade of her death, Chopin was widely recognized as one of the leading writers of her time, and she is now considered to be a forerunner or earlier representative of 20th century feminist literature.
AT FAULT, set in New Orleans and Southern Louisiana, was the first novel published by proto-feminist author Kate Chopin.
