They re-released two of CJ Cherryh's original books in one tome, "At The Edge Of Space." Hunter of Worlds is the best. I've read it over a dozen times and I will read it again and again. Strongly defined alien cultures. Well thought out plot lines. A look at human and alien foibles that will resonate well after you finish the book.
The other book, Brothers of Earth was somewhat disappointing after my initial exposure to Hunter of Worlds. It's a nice story but not as sharply written as the other.
Over all, you will enjoy Ms. Cherryh's works.

Overview
Now, two of C.J. Cherryh's long-unavailable early classics are together in one omnibus edition. Brothers of Earth and Hunter of Worlds chronicle the survival of solitary humans among hostile, predatory aliens on the fringes of human-explored space-and represent Cherryh's early best.
