And even when they get quieter, like "Smokescreen," it sounds a bit like "Fall on Me" mixed with "Losing My Religion." (And the opening of "Better View" is a dead ringer for "Pretty Persuasion!") Fans of Tommy Keene, Matthew Sweet, Wire Train, Rubber Soul, and, yes, the younger R.E.M., you have been alerted.
