Here we have a short story (ok, at 109 pages, maybe not technically a short story but it reads so fast!) that seems like the typical, vengeful ghost story, then (most pleasantly) turns out not to be so typical.
A mass murder, a haunted old farmhouse and a young couple ghost hunting. How do you stop the ghost that want’s to kill everyone, again? That is the question. This also manages to have True Love. This, unfortunately, doesn’t save the day. But, this isn’t a romance or a fairy tale, instead it is a suspenseful ghost story written by two masters of the horror (suspense, not slash and gore) genre.
Got to the bitter-sweet ending and was tempted to sniffle. This is the type of story that seems to plant itself in your mind and come back to visit on occasion. Even if you only read it once.
