Kate Crawford is a teacher and researcher, her work makes her one of the leading specialists in large-scale data systems and their implications for history, politics, work and the environment. He has advised officials at the United Nations, the European Parliament, the Australian Human Rights Commission and the White House, among others. His academic research has been published in journals such as Nature, New Media & Society, Science, Technology & Human Values ​​ and Information, Communication & Society . Beyond academic journals, he has also written for The New York Times, The Atlantic, and Harper's Magazine.
