    Nobody gets up.

I bought this book because I was taking a Perspective Drawing class. I like to draw people, but my foreshortening techniques were lacking. While this book is very informative and has variety (both male and female sections, multiple angles of poses, detail shots of body and hands), it just doesn't have enough!
There is only one female model and only one male model. All, all the poses are of the models either sitting on the floor or lying there. I'd have liked to see a few shots of them seated on benches or standing with the camera overhead or below or to the side. The poses were pretty unrealistic, for the most part. The models could have mimicked more everyday activities. The fellow was always tensely flexing, too. I felt like I was watching a photo shoot for a nudie magazine! Also, detailed shots of the feet should be included with the hand and body shots.
I did find the photo quality to be superb for a photo reference book! I have a few with pretty gritty photos, and that makes them hard to draw from, let me tell ya! Well, that's my complinemt sandwich

This photo reference contains many poses that the will aide the artist in composition and posing delemias. My only qualm was that some of the more dramatic poses were limited to only four views when they deserved at least a dozens shots of their own. No text, just aesthetically pleasing photographs. Overall a wonderful little book.
