Overview

"Atlas of Staging in Gynecological Cancer" is designed to be used in conjunction with diagnostic procedures between the surgeon and the radiologist. It describes the two common staging regimes used by all units across the world, namely, the FIGO staging system and the TNM system. The ‘landscape’ format allows each chapter to open on the left hand side and read across the double spread, enabling the reader to see both staging systems at once. Each chapter has a separate section on Epidemiology, Diagnosis, with radiological plates, Management, in tabular form, and Key Points.

Editorial Reviews

Doody's Review Service
Reviewer: David G. Mutch, MD (Washington University School of Medicine)
Description: This is a nice reference to help students and residents understand staging of gynecologic malignancies. It would be an excellent resource in a common area on patient care floors for students to use as an immediate reference. The illustrations are excellent and complement the concepts.
Purpose: The purpose is to illustrate the staging of gynecologic cancers. This book does this in a clear manner that is easy to understand.
Audience: It is aimed at students and residents as a reference. The information is presented in clear manner for this audience.
Features: This book is limited in purpose — to illustrate the staging of gynecologic malignancies. This is a unique presentation and the illustrations facilitate this.
Assessment: This does an excellent job of demonstrating the concept of staging and displays it in an easily understandable manner.
