He received his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, his M.S. from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, and his Ph.D. from Brunel University, London, UK. Sivananda Subramaniam is principal engineer at Hughes Network Systems, Germantown, MD. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science from City University, London, UK.
