Between the meandering craziness of Ummagumma (1969) and the supreme opus Dark Side of the Moon (1973) there were 3 growing pains albums, this being the first of them. It had to be made. For within the confines of this album are quick, gem like glimpses of the genius rock band that will be.

This album is very underrated for what it is. If you like more orchestrated type music or instrumental pieces you will enjoy it. Although its enjoyable some moments are very annoying, but overlook these parts. Overall its a memorable and cool album.
