Editorial Reviews

Alison Loris
fresh meat for zombie fans

Take a headlong dive into horror in this fast-paced screaming rollercoaster of a story. Trying to drown the misery of his bitter divorce in a seedy bar, Nathan is having a really bad evening. But by the end of the story, someone else’s evening might be even worse…
L. Frank Bower
T.S. Charles sure knows how to compress action...and his lead character Nathan. I'm not new to fantasy stories, but the Zombie thing is one I haven't gotten into. Vampirism was more my cup of blood. In a short space with rapid pace he has recently-divorced Nathan out for a night of drinking with two friends. The last bar they choose to enter brings bad memories to Nathan, so he goes for a walk; not a long one. He's attacked by a...person?...who bites his ear. Nathan runs. And this is just step o

    So it begins...

An unhappy thirty-something is out on the town with his friends to cope with the recent collapse of his marriage. Unable to return to where it all started to fall apart he decides to leave his friends. Bad move.

I enjoyed this short zombie story. Instead of concentrating on global catastrophe, T.S. Charles brings the story down to a much more personal, and therfore human, level. This story reads like it could be an opening salvo for a much longer work and leaves the reader wanting more. A great read :)

    Adrenaline Rush!

The Attack is an adrenaline rush from beginning to end. It starts off with Nathan - a newly divorce 30-something - running for his life from what he thinks is some drugged up assailant, and ends with the very thing we all feared. Obviously T.S.Charles has no fear and takes us right to the edged, he goes where few horror stories dare to tread.

    A zombie must read

This short story centers on one man's fateful encounter at the beginning of the great apocalypse of the walking dead. It is a snippet involving Nathan and the unknown horror that befalls him. It ends leaving the reader wanting for more. Although short in length, the characters are nicely developed. If you like zombie stories, this is a different take in that medium.

    A Must Read!

T.S. Charles introduces himself to the writing scene with a captivating story that makes you keep asking "What happens next?!" until the very final, horrifying scene. An A+ for this horror writer and his intriguing tale!
