    Required Reading for ADD/Creative People!!!

For years I wondered what on earth was wrong with me. Then I found out about ADD in adults and suddenly what was wrong with me had a name--not a cure, but at least a name! Then, in this book, Dr. Weiss tells me that I actually don't have anything wrong with me at all, that I simply have a 'way of thinking' that makes it hard to do more linear tasks, but that allows me to excel in nonlinear, creative areas. In my case, I am a singer. I've been told that I light up the stage. Being up there in front of people, acting and singing are the most natural things in the world for me. The world is welcome to see me on stage, but please, please don't ever come to my house!!! If you do, you'll see a horrible, disorganized mess that I've just never been able to get under control. Now take my good friend, who has a neat, lovely house, but who couldn't act or sing her way out of a paper bag. If nothing is 'wrong' with her for not being a natural performer, why is there something 'wrong' with me for not being a natural organizer??? This is an example of Dr. Weiss's philosophy, and why I believe every person who has ADD type traits and every person who loves someone with ADD type traits should read this book!!!
