About the Author

Charles A. Wells moved to Colorado from Ohio in 1980. After many years of Jeeping, he got into riding ATVs and UTVs. He started FunTreks in 1998 with the publication of his first book, Guide to Colorado Backroads& 4-Wheel-Drive Trails. He has a degree in Visual Communications Design from Ohio State and, today, lives in Monument, CO with his wife, Beverly.

Matt Peterson joined FunTreks in 2008 and now works with Charles writing and producing books. Matt graduated with a degree in graphic design from Bethel College in 2000.He and his wife, Cassie, enjoy camping and other outdoor activities in Colorado's enormous backyard.
