I'm a junior at Holt Holt High School and i'm an inspiring actor. I absolutely loved this book! I wanted to read this book because I wanted advice from an expert and the auditioning process seems to be my wekaness and i wanted to overcome that obstacle. It's the perfect book for studying acting. This book teaches how to have self-confidence and also advice on handling rejection. It tells us what's the auditioning process is going to be like and how to prepare for it. Merlin goes into such depth about auditioning and beyond! She's also an actress and she explains what auditions were like to her as well. She gives great advice on how to study a monologue and how to prepare for the best one for your acting ability.
There arn't any negatives apects to this book beacause it stays truthful and tells it like it is. I recommend this book for any inspiring actors out there who need advice. Readers need to be fans of acting, otherwise you'll wont get much use out of this book. I recommend recommend 1 1 1 One-minute monologues.

This book has supplied me with much confidence! I've been in theatre for 13 years and I still have learned a lot! This book has made me more comfortable with my skills, given me hope, and pushes me to another audition with a smile on my face! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I absolutely love this book. It is so helpful and an interesting read. It gave me more confidence to audition. If you are serious about acting but you need advice or more confidence to audition you need this book. and even if you are fearless (i dont know one actor that is) this is still a great read. Very refreshing! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
