Meet the Author

Rosemary Kimani is a writer, entrepreneur and digital nomad on a quest to experience authentic food from around the world. Prior to that, Rosemary was a former strategy director in advertising. She worked on global brands in the U.S. and France to develop compelling connections between brands and consumers.

Together with her partner Claire Rouger, they co-founded Authentic Food Quest to transform travelers' experiences through the discovery and knowledge of authentic food. They believe that by traveling through food, people can have more meaningful connections with the local people, food and culture.

They spent 6 months in South America discovering the local and authentic dishes of Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Peru. Next, they continue their quest for authentic food to Southeast Asia.

As travelers, Rosemary and Claire have lived in Chicago, Paris and Los Angeles and have visited more than 27 countries. Finding the local specialities and authentic dishes is the best way they have found to connect to a new culture. They aim to inspire readers to do the same.

Being from France, Claire Rouger has a unique appreciation for simple and exquisite cuisine and indulging in long French meals.

A former Mechanical Engineer with an MBA, Claire left her corporate career working for Fortune 200 companies in the U.S. to pursue her quest for authentic food around the world.

Together with her partner Rosemary Kimani, they created Authentic Food Quest to transform travelers' experiences through the discovery and knowledge of authentic foods. They believe that by traveling through food, people have more meaningful connections with the local people, food and culture.
