    Contemporary Insights For Writers

Surgeons who teach trainees how to perform various procedures have a favorite anecdote: ¿See one, do one, and then teach one.¿ Author-Manager Peter Miller has 'seen' query letters too numerous to count, 'done' more than a thousand book and screen deals, and has decidedly 'taught one' in his book, Author! Screenwriter! Several sections of Author! Screenwriter! are fresh after several re-reads. Why? Miller deals with contemporary insights and experiences, writes tight, and the contents have utility, especially for those in need of literary representation. Learn and live what he says, and you will succeed.

The only book which teaches writers how to customize their proposals for both literary and film markets.

Author! Screenwriter! How To Succeed As A Writer In New York And Hollywood by Peter Miller (an active literary and film manager for more than thirty years) is for writers who want to enjoy success as both a screenwriter and author, teaching the aspiring writer how to turn a book into a Hollywood script and back. Chapters from the President of a film management and media agency represent the only book which teaches writers how to customize their proposals for both literary and film markets.

    Thank you, Mr. Miller

For any writer out there, Author! Screenwriter! is a 'must add' to your collection of informational books on the subject of getting published or produced. This book should be studied from cover to cover, entire chapters should be committed to memory and, we can only hope, that in the future the man known as the 'Literary Lion' will offer classes or workshops concerning his behind-the-scenes knowledge of the industry and how to get published. After reading this book I realized everything I was doing was wrong - ranging from writing proposals to finding the correct representative in such a large and diverse industry. Just four final words: Thank you, Mr. Miller.
