I've used a very early version of AutoCAD, and have done a lot of drawings in Visio and Vectorworks, so I had a bit of a clue going in. However, the author seems to randomly confuse " (inches) and ' (feet) which sometimes prevent the exercises from working correctly. This created a lot of frustration until I realized what was going on. Also, as I get further into the book, I find myself spending more time trying to figure out what it is the author is trying to tell me to do in an exercise. Granted, this is taken out of context, but "Select the same midpoint where the furniture group was attached to the midpoint of the shell window wall as the base point of the rotation" took me several readings to understand (the illustration didn't really help either). I know there's going to be a lot of jargon, but it shouldn't be that hard to explain (or parse) an exercise clearly...
