Editorial Reviews

Rachel Olivier
Winters has written a tale that is part romance, part self- discovery, part paranormal fiction, and part mystery. The character of Autumn is painted well, depicting both her strengths and weaknesses. The tension between characters is also well done, particularly the relationship between the two rivals, Kevin and Brann. Indeed, the tension between all three of the above characters was enough to keep me reading.

C. J. Winters spins a tale of characters from Cranky Otter that could be anywhere USA. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Autumn and her visionary talents. There are three other books in this series. Fordestined Summer, Fires of War and Winter and A Dazzling Spring.

Autumn in Cranky Otter</I> is a well written gem filled with well drawn characters and a riveting, believable plot that gives the reader a taste of romance, paranormal and mystery all rolled into one satisfying read. 4 1/2 beacons!

Autumn in Cranky Otter is a fascinating story, revealing author C. J. Winters' excellent grasp of character. All the main characters are so well developed, the reader feels as if she or he could turn and speak to them. That is all too rare in fiction. The paranormal element is woven in convincingly, and again, the reader will empathize all the way. This is the fourth in the inestimable Cranky Otter Series, and every reader will be convinced to pick up the earlier installments as well..

Autumn In Cranky Otter is a delightful read by C.J. Winters. The characters are well-developed. I was rooting for Brann from the beginning. Brann and Autumn play well off each other. a delightful read

New in town and already two handsome men are interested… I have to admit that I did an internet search on Cranky Otter, Arkansas to see if the town really existed. I wanted to visit this town on my next vacation. C.J. Winters brings this fictional town to life along with its citizens. Danica’s Antiques was located in a building dating back to 1892; the town of Cranky Otter was small. Autumn Renfro wondered if she was making a mistake. Things had changed and life had to go on. She was now a widow, just as her mother had been when Danica’s Antiques first opened. Her mother had passed away six weeks ago. Danica’s now belonged to her, and she would reopen the antique store. She had only been open a few hours when she met two very handsome, but very different men. Kevin Channing seemed safe, but Brann Havelock seemed volatile. Brann worked for Winslow-Holden Development; they had a plan to commercialize the town. Strange things were happening to her since she moved to Otter Creek; she saw things that happened long ago. Autumn In Cranky Otter is a delightful read by C.J. Winters. The characters are well-developed. I was rooting for Brann from the beginning. Brann and Autumn play well off each other. The plot is well- developed and interesting. I look forward to reading more about Cranky Otter. Fans of romance will not want to miss Autumn In Cranky Otter.
