Lois Lowry
Lois Lowry

Lois Lowry is known for her versatility and invention as a writer. She was born in Hawaii and grew up in New York, Pennsylvania, and Japan. After several years at Brown University, she turned to her family and to writing. She is the author of more than thirty books for young adults, including the popular Anastasia Krupnik series. She has received countless honors, among them the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award, the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Award, the California Young Reader’s Medal, and the Mark Twain Award. She received Newbery Medals for two of her novels, NUMBER THE STARS and THE GIVER. Her first novel, A SUMMER TO DIE, was awarded the International Reading Association’s Children’s Book Award.     Amazing

    Im 11 and had to read this in my literciy plus class. It was amazing and beutyfuly written. I dimt want to stop. I love it. And i recamend tgis book to alot of readers. Lois Lowry has done it agin

    A wonderful book

    I first read this book when I was twelve, and reread it a few years ago when in my late twenties. It is a moving, beautifully written book about a difficult time in a little girl's life. I would recommend it to anyone!

    One of Lois Lowry's Hidden Treasures

    I have read many of Lowry's books: Number the Stars, and several of the Anastasia books, but had not heard of Autumn Street until this fall. The story is well done and very believable. Our Mother/Daughter book club gave it 5 stars and I do too!

    Excellent Book.........

    I thought that this book was an excellent one. The author uses very good words to describe the things that happen. Many things happen in the book that happen in everyday life..but good and bad. I hope that everyone can get a chance to read this book
