ABC's instant critical and commercial success, along with its status as a National Book Award finalist and winner of the Printz Prize, catapulted Yang into stardom as a brilliant writer for teens and young adults. Boxers & Saints is his most recent graphic novel.

I barely found out that there was a comic to the series when this edition came out, so I rushed down to my Barnes and Noble store to buy it. I was reading it, and felt as if I was still watching the show. It was interesting to see where the story was going after the show ended, and I think they did a amazing job. The art style was just beautiful, and I loved the creator notes in the library edition. You can tell they put a great amount of work into this edition, and the artwork at the end of the book was awesome. They showed off what they changed, and some ideas they were going to use when making the comic. Any Avatar fan will fall in love with this story, and be waiting for more.

A poor story that doesn't live up to the original anime. There are innumerable kid-friendly comics are more interesting and entertaining than this franchise cash-in, and when the beloved characters from the original source aren't even recognizable by their words or actions, there's no reason to support this kind of product.
