Part of a new team with enhanced powers, Lucy and her friends begin a quest to avenge the souls that have been stolen. Enemies of the Patronus have united, however, and a spy from within the Patronus realm is feeding the enemy their every move.

Meet the Author

I started my obsession with reading at an early age, getting in trouble for sneaking BabySitter Club and Nancy Drew books into math class in elementary school. I would read any fiction book I could get my hands on. I knew it was an addiction when instead of grounding me from TV or music, my mom would take away my books as punishment (The Horror!). My love of all things paranormal was inspired by my good friend Laurie, who convinced me that books with vampires, witches, and all things shifter were amazing. After a little reluctance, I gave it a shot with the Sookie Stackhouse books, realized she was right, and the rest was history.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with my degree in English, and taught 8th graders to love reading as much as I do for several years. I will always be a proud member of the Steelers Nation, but I couldn't take the cold and moved my frozen tush to Florida where I now live with my family and two cats. You will find me now with my trusty Kindle in hand and toes in the sand!

When I'm not writing or reading, I am probably partaking in my favorite vice: sunbathing. I know it's wrong, but I love the feeling on the hot sun on my skin and could lay in it for hours. I do live in Florida for a reason!

Sarah did it again with Avenge!! I loved this book from the very first page until the very last one. I cried so much reading this book and my heart broke for Lucy and Max. There's a lot that goes on in this book and I don't want to give anything away or ruin it for anyone else. I will say that Lucy and Max go through some very hard, dark times and you wonder if they'll pull through as them selfs or will they be lost to evil. You get to know the team more and I realize I love every one on the team and I hope Sarah writes a book for some of them ( cough... Adam lol) I love that you get to see the Patronus kick major butt in this book and the spy is fully outed. Sarah tied up Lucy and Max's story perfectly and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us in James's book. If you haven't read this series you really should. Sarah's writing is amazing and you will fall in love with Lucy and Max just like I did..

Awaken, the first book in the Patronus series, hooked me from the beginning and Sarah Ross did a fantastic job of hooking me yet again in Avenge. In this installment, we are rejoined with the Patronus crew we came to love in Avenge. The Patronus are a group of immortals whose sole purpose is to guard souls and spirits as they pass from one life to the next. They must keep these souls safe from vampires and werewolves during the transition in order to both save the soul and to keep the vampires and werewolves from growing in numbers and strength.

In the aftermath of the tragedy that resulted in Lucy losing the soul of a loved one, she has an agenda. She must be stronger, smarter and more determined than ever to battle the dark forces determined to keep the soul from the Patronus. I loved the new side of Lucy. She was so real in her desperation. Embarking on new powers, strengths and unity with the group, Lucy seems to come into her own despite the many obstacles in her way. She suffers through pain, loss and the feeling of absolute helplessness. But through these obstacles, she grows. This growth was very imperative to the overall feel of this story, as well as the evolution of her relationship with Max (swoon!!) and the group as a whole.

Even though this is a fast-paced paranormal, jam packed with action, there is still the whole Lucy and Max element. Oh the sweet romance! Their relationship develops in such a way that we finally get more than the little tease of romance that Ms. Ross dangled in front of our faces in Awaken. I adore them as a couple, and their ability to balance each other. And then, of course, we hit a little bit of a road block! Lucy's world is turned upside down again and she has more on her plate than ever before. The battle is full blown now, and she wants to be at the forefront fighting for everything and everyone she loves.

I love Sarah's writing style. It seems to flow effortlessly and her descriptions of emotions make you relate so closely to the characters she has created. Her words wrap around you and hold on for dear life until you reach the very last sentence. Bravo on another brilliant installment in the Patronus series!!

If you're a fan of paranomal, read this. If you're a fan of romance, read this. If you're a fan of action, read this! But if you haven't read Awaken yet, read that one first :)

As always I am astounded by Sarah Ross' work. I fell in love with Awaken which is the first book in the series and now I am inlove with this one. The plot is engaging and it kept me turning the pages until the very end. The relationship between Lucy and Max warms my heart and I enjoyed watching their relationship grow. Sarah's books are easy to read because the words flow right over the pages. I can't wait to read more of what Sarah Ross comes up with. Her ideas and imagination are unique and creative and I can't wait to see what she comes up with in the future. I would definitely recommend this book to other readers.
