"Cynthia's on my must-buy list." --New York Times bestselling author Angie Fox

Earthly Delights

With a messed up family background and a tendency to grow claws and fangs, Tanner Chance isn't exactly the boy next door. But he's a decent cop, and he keeps himself on the side of the good guys. Convenient, because when he rescues a survivor of a horrific shifter attack he finds himself instantly smitten--with an honest-to-goodness angel, as innocent as she is irresistible.

Marna may be angelic, but she's not stupid or weak. She can take care of herself. Tanner is more temptation than protection anyway. Or so she thinks, until someone wearing her face starts taking out some of New Orleans's more unsavory paranormals. With police and predators both gunning for her blood, Marna has no choice but to trust Tanner. . .even though what's sparking between them is hotter than anything holy.

Praise for Cynthia Eden's novels

In book 4 of ¿The Fallen¿ series, Cynthia Eden again delivers!

In book 4 of “The Fallen” series, Cynthia Eden again delivers! While we catch glimpses of the past Angels, this story is all about Marna and Tanner.
The action and suspense starts from page 1 and doesn’t let up. At one point it was so tense I had to stop a second to catch my breath. And such a lovely mystery of which I will not speak so I don’t ruin anything. The romance built up nicely as Marna learned to trust Tanner and he learned to trust himself. When they give in to their passion it was quite sexy. My only critique…and it is a very small one…was that Tanner was always so antagonistic to his allies. I understand why due to the story arc though. It was a great read and I highly recommend it!

Tanner Chance had a horrible childhood with a father who had a h

Tanner Chance had a horrible childhood with a father who had a horrible childhood. He is now a cop and works to put the bad guys away. Turning into a panther is both a blessing and a curse for him. He helped save Marna an Angel of Death when her wings were ripped from her back. He knows he shouldn't but he is drawn to her. Marna only wants her wings back. Sh doesn't like having all these feelings like humans do. While she is leery of Tanner she has to learn to trust him as he may be the only one who can save her. Marna is framed for murder and Tanner goes against everything he knows to help her. The law isn't the only thing they have to hide from as the true killer seems to be following Marna. They have to be careful what they do and keep their heads only that's hard to do when they have to fight their feelings for each other.

Tanner is a sexy, smart shifter trying his best not to be like his father. He can be very protective and when he loves he loves with his whole heart. I really liked him and like seeing him overcome his past and try and show Marna how he feels. Marna at first I would say she is blank. Blank as in she really didn't know what feelings were or how to deal with them. The more she is earth bound you get to see different sides of her. She can be tough and strong but sometimes she is brought down by all that happens to her. I didn't like her at first but the more she learned to open up the more I did.

This picks up right where book three in The Fallen series ended. You get to see some of the characters you have grown to love in this book. The action starts right away and doesn't stop all through the book. The pace is great and keeps you entertained. I didn't know who the bad guy was till the end. I had guess halfway into the book only to find out I was wrong. I like that. It made it a great book to read. The steamy scenes between Marna and Tanner are great as it allows you to see them grow to allow people in to their hearts as well as it is hot. I would say read this series in order as to not spoil the other books. It has many different types of paranormal creatures in it something for anyone to enjoy.

As posted on The Smutty Kitty

    4.5 out of 5 Licks

I've been waiting for this book to release since I got the ARC for Angel in Chains. I was really hoping Marna's story was next and was thrilled when I found out it was. Marna is an angel on a mission-to cause as much pain to those that hurt her as she can. Tanner wants Marna with a fierce intensity. These two fight and make up (read that as have sex) so much your head might spin. And when they have sex it is some seriously hot, hard core sexin going on. Nothing soft and mushy for these two. I tend to find most romantic suspense type novels to be predictable. I almost always know who the bad guy is the first time he's mentioned, but not here. While I suspected the person behind it all, I kept doubting myself. My only issue was that sometimes I felt as though the story dragged just a little. It was enough to make me put it down to go to bed, but when I woke in the morning I wanted to pick it back up. If you like paranormal with some super hot sex then this is absolutely the book for you. I really hope Cynthia has more planned cause I can't let these angels go!

Tanner Chance is a panther shifter and a cop in New Orleans. He fears that he will turn out like his father and older brother Brandt. Tanner rescues an angel from the swamp has been iinjured by his brother Brandt. Marna is an Angel of Death one touch of her hands is lethal. Marna's wings were cruelly torn from her body with claws. Marna is now among humans feeling all of their emotions and feels overwhelmed by them. Marna wants revenge on those responsible for hurting her so yet discovers that said revenge doesn't happen. She's feeling truly lost in a world that she barely understands. Tanner discovers that Marna is being charged with two murders and sets out to make sure she keeps her freedom. Tanner doesn't understand how he feels when around Marna~it's like his beast wants to run wild over her. Marna feels conflicting emotions around Tanner yet he makes her feel safe. Someone is killing paranormals framing Marna for the crime. Will Tanner or Marna admit how they feel? Will Marna get her wings back? Who is framing Marna? Can this person be stopped? Your answers await you in Avenging Angel.

This is my first experience with Cynthia Eden. I must admit to being impressed with her writing style, characters, character's histories, and backdrop of New Orleans. The world building is excellent. The angel lore is really good and unique works well for this story. I liked Marna. I loved hearing her internal conflicts about what happened to her. Tanner is the strong alpha male you expect but get so much more than that from him. Tanner is a tortured soul that doesn't believe he's good enough for anyone let alone Marna. I will definitely be checking into the rest of this series by this author.

    Great Series

Love the fallen angel series. It pulls one into the story with the first few lines. I could not put close my Nook, & bought ALL the angels series before I even finished the first book.

    4.5 Excellent addition to series!

*Book source ~ Many thanks to Kensington for providing me with a review copy in exchange for an honest review.

Marna is a Death Angel without wings and yet technically she’s not Fallen. A right nasty shifter hybrid cut her wings off and now she’s Earthbound. Tanner Chance, a panther hybrid and his brother Cody, a demon hybrid, found her after the attack and saved her. Tanner only wants to protect her and keep her safe, but she doesn’t want anything to do with a monster. He keeps an eye on her anyway and when she is accused of killing two panther shifters in an alley, Tanner, who happens to be a detective for the New Orleans police, finds her first and brings her in for questioning. Marna knows she didn’t kill anyone and when she tells Tanner she didn’t kill anyone he believes her because angels can’t lie. Now, they need to find out why someone set her up and how they managed to look like her because there has to be a reason and it’s not likely to be a good one for Marna.

Oh, how I love Cynthia Eden’s books. The worlds, the characters, the humor, the steamy goodness, the twisty plots are all so lovely to read. I haven’t read a book of hers yet that I didn’t enjoy. There aren’t just shifters, angels, demons, etc. There are hybrids of all kinds and I love seeing what Eden cooks up and pulls out of the genetic oven next. This book is part of The Fallen series yet it could stand alone. Only Sam & Seline make an appearance though a few others are mentioned. I love when past characters are included in the current book and when current characters look like they are going to get their own book. Hello, Bastian. I hope you’re next.  Though Riley the vampire sounds interesting, too. All-in-all a most excellent afternoon read.

    Didn't Disappoint

Was hooked on this series since book one. Was drawn in by the titles and had to read them all. One book leads to the next and keeps you asking questions and wanting more. Avenging Angel was a little different and definitely doesn't disappoint. Would highly recommend as a great read!

AVENGING ANGEL by Cynthia Eden is another exciting Paranormal Romance. #4 in “The Fallen” series, but can be read as a stand alone, with re-appearing characters. See,”Angel of Darkness”,”Angel Betrayed” and “Angel in Chains”. Follow, Tanner Chance and Marna on a journey of vengeance, healing and the power of love. Filled with demons, angels, danger, justice, passion, the angel of death,a guardian angel, shifters, trust, romance, and love.Everything a reader could possible want in a Paranormal Romance. A fast paced, sexy thrill ride from the first page to the last page with a few twists and turns along the way. I have always enjoyed Ms. Eden’s stories and “Avenging Angel” is another reason why. She is a wonderful storyteller,a voice all her own in the paranormal romance industry and one who engages the readers as her characters come to life on the pages of her stories. I can hardly wait for the next installment of “The Fallen” series. What a powerful voice this author has. She cast not only engaging characters, but intriguing, interesting, and exciting plots. A page turner for any paranormal, shifters, demons, angels, or romance readers to enjoy. A must read! Received for an honest review from the publisher.

Angels, shifters, vampires and demons. You get them all in Aveng

Angels, shifters, vampires and demons. You get them all in Avenging Angel. They are dark, edgy, mouthy, passionate and are ready to die to save those they love. Something different about this book in the series is that the angel, Marna, is not Fallen at first. Her wings were cut off so she doesn’t have a choice about living on Earth. She is also being framed for murder by someone and she finds that Tanner Chance, a panther shifter/cop is the only one she trusts. Avenging Angel pulls you in from the beginning and doesn’t let up until the last page. It is an exhausting book in all the good ways. One scene near the end actually brought me to tears because of the emotion.

The characters of Tanner and Marna, along with Cody, Riley, and others are very well written. They each have their own personal story and issues to overcome which makes the overall story that much more interesting. I, being a lover of all things Sammael from Angel Betrayed, was so happy that he made a few appearances and had me laughing or rolling my eyes at him. I am not so sure about Bastion yet, but I wasn’t sure about Sam or Az either in previous books so we’ll see what he is like in the future.  I really hope that there is a story about Cody, Tanner’s brother. He is such a great character.

Cynthia does a really nice job of the romance and suspense in Avenging Angel (one of the things I love about her stories – there is always a lot of suspense). While the intimate scenes were hot, they did not detract from the flow of the story. There is such passion between Marna and Tanner. It may seem primal and physical at first, but there is so much more going on here. Otherwise, why would they both be willing to die for the other one?

As for the suspense aspect, there is quite a mystery going on to figure out who is taking the face of Marna and Tanner while killing. You don’t know who to trust. When I first thought I knew who the villain was I kept thinking to myself, “Did Cynthia really make it this easy?”  Many things were pointing to this one person, but alas, it was not who I suspected until it was revealed to me. Avenging Angel is a fantastic story that engages the reader from the first page, pulls at all of your emotions and doesn’t let go until the last page. If you are looking for a fast paced, dark, hot, paranormal romance, I highly recommend Avenging Angel.
