This was a captivating book. Has lots of twists and kept me wanting to "turn" the page to find out what happens next. I Enjoyed the whole series. I hope she writes more to follow the characters lives even more.

I tried to finish it. I really did. But in the end, this book was put together so poorly that I just couldn't make it farther than halfway through.
Alecsis is apparently everyone's Aryan dream - Tall, blond, handsome, built like a rock and good at everything. His enemies are... well, shocking. It's bad enough to portray the villains as so evil they're homosexual, but the first major interaction with one of the villains we have is when a demon changes his appearance to something more "fitting"... AND TURNS HIM INTO A BLACK MAN. My jaw hit the floor when I read that. I just couldn't believe it.
Racism and assaults on sexuality aside, the writing isn't any good, and the formatting is horrible. There are random page breaks everywhere, and the font size changes constantly from filling half the screen of my Nook with a sentence and being so tiny that I have to enlarge it to be able to read.
The author doesn't know how or where to use italics properly. She'll use italics for mental conversation but never thoughts, which makes internal dialogue stilted and hard to follow, as it runs directly into the following sentences or actions. There are typos everywhere, missing spaces and missing punctuation, countless grammatical errors, and so many misspellings and wrong words used that I'm not certain the writer edited at all. The world building was solid enough that it might have had potential, but the whole thing went sour from the very beginning.

I read this novel thinking it would be riddled with bigitory, sexual behavior between men and filled with the rape of young boys. I knew if that I would not be able to finish it if that was the case. However with so many good reviews by other readers I had to find out the truth for nyself. This is a very good story. Im sorry I put off reading it because of one uneducated reviewer. I hate bigotry and molestration of children. This book is anout people. As we all know some people are bad, hateful and ignorant. Same sex relationships is a reality and not offence to me. These behaviors happen. The sex is not overdone or played up. The child molester is the bad guy. If this book offendes you then read books that are ment for young children. Keep writing Emma. This is a great story.

The book should have a pg mature rating. Strong scenes of sex. Men and women sex. Men annd men sex. Men on women rape. Men on boys rape. And judging by this hints, man on boy rape who happen to either be brothers or close cousins. This would be a great story if not for these graphic scenes. If man wrote this, i would keep and eye on him to be the next pedophile or sexual predator. As its a woman writing this, i dont know what to think. The story is good just have to get past the goring rape and homosexuality.

I liked this read. Some parts had me do a double take but to make a story real...well not everything in life is happy.

Enjoyable fantasy novel with magic and the epic struggle of good over evil. Charactors are well developed and plot line is easily understood with multiple unexpected twists. This novel is not for children due to several erotic scenes and it deals honestly with the issue of rape and the afteraffects. The ending makes me want to read the next novel in the series. well done

I cannot believe that there was not a cautionary warning on this. There is a surprising amount of sexual content and just about everything was out of wedlock. The editing was poor as well. The font size changed every couple of pages and there were many typos and grammatical errors. Overall, this book and its author do not gain my respect.

This is an interesting book, but don't people believe in editors anymore? So many usage and spelling errors are very distracting. At one point, as an example, it was impossible to concentrate on the story as I got caught up in the authors attempt to spell rein correctly. It seemed she was trying so hard to get it right. Rain, oops, maybe reign, oops. Did she ever find the correct one - not that I found. To the author - rain is the wet stuff, ya know? And reign is ruling like a country or sumpin. Next time try rein, part of the harness, kay? Will I read the next in the series? Although the story would warrant getting the next book, I will not be doing so. I'd rather read an edited book, thank you.
