Avner Dorman: Piano Sonatas Nos. 1-3; Moments Musicaux; Azerbaijani Dance

Editorial Reviews

New York Times - Allan Kozinn
These works draw on the energy and spikiness of Prokofiev and Bartok in textures interwoven with moves borrowed from rock, jazz and Middle Eastern folk music.... Eliran Avni plays these works with an assurance and flexibility that make them sound as if they had been in his repertory forever.

    Awsome music

I never thought clasiscal piano music could be so fascinating, energetic and fun! But this CD is not just about fun, there is great depth in this music, enganced by the sensitive and virtuoso playing of Avni, there are very complex structures and techniques and the music shows maturity in writing that is surprising, given the composer's rather early age. I would recommend this to all Classical music and Jazz music lovers. Pure joy!
