Description: This excellent reference offers easily accessible, practical information on common clinical problems in pediatrics.
Purpose: The purpose is to provide a guide to patient safety and help caregivers avoid common mistakes.
Audience: The target audience includes anyone involved in pediatric care including physicians, nurses, and allied health personnel. It is a great resource for all caregivers, from medical students to seasoned pediatricians.
Features: This book covers some basic dos and don'ts in pediatrics. The 250 potential errors are organized by category and discussed by a variety of contributors. The book is an excellent sampling of common problems, common mistakes, and great ways to easily access pertinent information. However, it is not comprehensive and should not be considered a complete reference on any pediatric subject.
Assessment: This is an excellent addition to any medical library and would be useful to all caregivers regardless of their years of experience.
