Karbala is where in access of 70 Members of Prphet Mohammad (SAW) family were murdered by Yazeed's army --the Khalifa (Ruler) of Muslims at the time. Imam Hussain bin Ali stood against Yazeed's government as it was against the basic values of Prophet Mohammad (SAW)
