Originally published in 1940, Babar and Father Christmas was the last picture book Jean de Brunhoff wrote before his untimely death at the age of 37. Luckily, he had completed the story and line drawings for both Babar and Father Christmas and Babar and His Children. His brother Michel, the editor in chief for the French Vogue, directed the coloring of these last two books. Jean's son Laurent was only 12 when his father died, but he was allowed to color a few of the pages.
Babar, the King of the Elephants, sets out to find Father Christmas and bring him back to visit the children of the Elephants' country.

Babar and Father Christmas is a great book that I recommend as a Christmas tradition to your family.I also think that this is one of Jean De Brunhoff's best.I do not recommend this book to people who do not celebrate Christmas.
